What Is Somatic Coaching?

Somatic coaching is a body-based, trauma-informed approach that supports nervous system regulation, deeper self-awareness, and a sense of grounded connection.

Some reasons why people turn to somatic coaching:

Many people come to this work after trying talk therapy, self-help, or insight-based approaches that offered understanding, but didn’t quite stick in daily life.

If you’ve learned to perform, push through, or override your own needs or emotions in order to function or belong, or if you feel overwhelmed/othered from being highly attuned to the people around you, you may find comfort in a somatic centered space where slowing down, and choice are welcome.

Somatic coaching can help you navigate:

  • Stress & Anxiety

  • Burnout & Exhaustion

  • Emotional Blocks and/or Trauma

  • Grief & Life Transitions

  • Disconnection from Self

  • Creative or Spiritual Stagnation

The last 30 days have felt like a movement towards noticing multiple times a day where my body is at and where it wants to be, and supporting it in moving from the former to the latter. I have found myself stating out loud how my body is feeling to others before deciding whether I’m going to do anything about it or ask for anything. Not filtering that simple acknowledgement has turned tension to ease on its own.

Caitlin’s presence was incredibly kind and gentle. I appreciated that she normalized saying “no” and took the time to check in with how comfortable I felt expressing my boundaries. She also offered a variety of techniques and invited me to choose what felt best in the moment, which felt so thoughtful and like a true collaboration. At the end of our time together, Caitlin shared thoughtful feedback and practical tips to help me stay grounded and resourced throughout the week. Caitlin is a great coach for anyone looking for space to breathe, reset, and return to center.

Who often comes to this work?

Many people come to this work after trying talk therapy, self-help, or insight-based approaches that offered understanding, but didn’t quite stick in daily life. This can be especially true during periods of grief, transition, identity shifts, or ongoing stress, whether those experiences feel obvious or hard to name.

If you’ve learned to perform, push through, or override your own needs or emotions in order to function or belong, or if you move through the world highly attuned to the people around you, you may find comfort in a space where slowness, choice, and subtlety are welcome.

Caitlin is warm, open and thoughtful. She takes the time for us to both be slow and allow what comes up in session. She has provided useful tools for self check-ins, processing and grounding. She creates a potent container that allows for transformative work. Thank you, Caitlin!

It felt like she was very conscientious of meeting my needs and being supportive and brining in safety. I also like that she would kind of tie things together along the way. Like what the intention started and what was unfolding/ by naming it and helping me to have space to just soften and be aware.

Meet the Facilitator

My name is Caitlin, and I offer my presence in this work from a place of lived experience, quiet transformation, and a deep respect for the multitudinous and varied ways we come home to ourselves.

When we learn to listen to and tend to the many parts of ourselves: our tenderness, our wisdom, our protective instincts, we create the conditions for safety, trust, and connection to emerge . . .
