More on somatic Coaching
Caitlin’s flavor of somatic coaching and how it works from a felt sense
Somatic coaching is a body-based, trauma-informed approach that supports nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and a sense of grounded connection.
Working with the body invites a slower pace than we’re often used to, one that allows the mind to settle and creates space to gently explore patterns, growing edges, and places of holding without forcing change.
Through breath, gentle movement, sound, and curious awareness, we move at the pace of your own nervous system, rooted in choice, consent, and care.
This work is not about fixing or changing who you are, but about reconnecting with the safety, trust, and wisdom already within, allowing your body and mind to come into agreement about what, if any, change is actually wanted.
How somatic coaching can support you
Somatic coaching can support you by helping you slow down and reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Through breath, movement, and guided awareness, we support your nervous system in building regulation and internal trust over time. This can start to look like noticing when you’re becoming overwhelmed and having tools to ground before shutting down or pushing through.
It may support you in staying present with difficult emotions without being overtaken by them, sensing your needs more clearly, and responding with greater agency in relationships, work, or moments of stress.
Many people find that as their capacity for regulation grows, daily life begins to feel more spacious, less reactive, more resourced, and more connected. They feel better able to move through grief or transition without bypassing themselves, and are more resourced when activation or uncertainty arises.
This is the quiet work of coming back into the body, slowing the mind, softening the nervous system, and learning to trust the pace at which change actually wants to happen.
What your somatic journey might be/feel like with Caitlin as a guide
Working together is a collaborative, slow-moving journey, where my role is to offer guidance and reflection as you explore what’s in your body and inner world.
We begin by leaning into safety, allowing your nervous system the time it needs to trust the pace of the work. Through breath and gentle practices, we support the mind in softening, reassuring it that it isn’t being left behind, but invited into a different way of meeting familiar goals with more ease and less effort.
Together, we name and outline three to five intentions, goals, or visions, and allow the paths towards them to unfold as you work on building trust and safety within the body.
Rather than pushing toward outcomes, we give space for the body and the felt sense to digest, reshape, refine, or simply settle into what has been named. This is a long, patient, and sustainable process, one that honors timing, readiness, and the wisdom of the body over urgency or force.
